A Story of a Virtual City
The Beginning…
Long time ago human kind made a virtual city and name it WebLand. The main purpose to create this city to provide various types of information one place to another very quickly to their living place called The Earth. A great human named Tim Berners-Lee who has invented a language in 1989 which helps the WebLand to increase dramatically! So WebLand is grateful to Mr. Lee. He has created a very influential citizen who has some strong power to make the information as a decorated page. That powerful citizen’s name is Mr. HTML. Each citizen’s name of WebLand has a meaning. So, Mr. HTML has a meaning; that is Hyper Text Markup Language. That is the beginning…
The Next Generation
After having a powerful citizen Mr. HTML the WebLand has never turn back. Gradually the city is growing and serves the human kind very sincerely and also has so many citizens, each of them have their own individual type of power. At the very beginning, WebLand was only serve the very limited sectors of human kind on Earth at the very beginning stage. Then from 1994, WebLand has been started serve the general people. Then WebLand is being most important city for human kind to transfer data, communication to each other and many more. The next generation of WebLand has got more power to serve the humans on the Earth.
The City Structure
Day by day WebLand has been surrounding the whole Earth (humans call their living place as Globe also) with some other very powerful citizens i.e. Mr. Server, Mr. Cable, Mr. Router, Mr. Optical Fibre and many more. By the help of humans the citizens of WebLand became more powerful and upgraded to serve better. And some aliens who are living outer space help WebLand to operate their operation; they are called as Satellite.
After becoming a huge city WebLand needs to a standardized rules as each human’s country has i.e. The Parliament. So, they requests humans to make a parliament for WebLand. The parliament of WebLand is W3 Consortium1. Formally W3 Consortium established in 1994 and and starts full operation establishing an office in October, 1994 at INRIA in March, 1995, and then at the Keio University Shonan Fujisawa Campus in Japan in August, 1996. So many humans are developing the standard rules for WebLand with their official website http://www.w3.org/1 and after that WebLand become a Country instead of a city.
This is the story of WebLand – the most powerful virtual country for humans on Earth to communicate each other.
The Language
Every country or civilization have it’s own language so WebLand has also it’s own language which is given as HTML. HTML's alphabets are called as Tag which are in between two symbols; one is < (less than symbol) and other is > (grater than symbol). There are many more structure for this language which will be revealed gradually in this story.
